Privacy Policy
Patika is an iOS app offering structured mental well-being programs for adults. It is operated by Taner Çelik (“we”). You can reach us at tanercelik2001@gmail.com.
Patika is not a clinical assessment, therapy or emergency service. If you may be in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number. The in-app support route is always free.
Information we handle
- What you tell us during onboarding: the problem you choose to describe in your own words, the areas you select, how long it has been going on, what you tend to avoid, what you have tried before and your current mood. Your own written words are stored separately and encrypted.
- Optional profile details: a first name, gender and age range. Gender and age range do not change how the app behaves. You can add a profile photo; it is stored in a private storage area that only your account can read.
- Your path and progress: the generated program, completed sessions, brief check-in answers, notes you save and your reminder time.
- Account: an anonymous identifier created when you start. If you choose to link Sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the identifier and email address that provider shares.
- Purchases: which path you bought and the store transaction needed to confirm it. Apple handles payment; we never see your card details.
- Usage events: limited, low-detail events such as which onboarding screen was viewed or whether a session finished. These events never include your written words, check-in answers, notes or path title.
Your promise mark from onboarding stays on your device and is not uploaded.
How we use it
We use this information to create and deliver your personal path, play its sessions, show your own before-and-after comparison, remember your place, confirm purchases and keep the app reliable. When we ask an AI service to plan a path or voice a session, we send what that task needs. The planning request uses a summary where possible; a personal voiced opening may include a sentence you wrote, because it is read back to you.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Service providers
- Supabase: account, database, private file storage and server functions. Hosted in Frankfurt, Germany (EU).
- Google Gemini: plans the structure of your path.
- ElevenLabs: generates the spoken audio of your sessions.
- RevenueCat: processes App Store purchase events for the path you buy. It receives your anonymous Patika identifier and a few numbers used on the purchase screen (such as path length), never your written words, path title or check-in answers.
- Apple: App Store payments and, if you choose it, Sign in with Apple.
- Google: Google Sign-In, if you choose it.
- PostHog (United States): the limited usage events described above. IP addresses are discarded, and no person profiles are created.
Some of these providers process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on the providers’ standard contractual safeguards.
Purchases and account linking
You can buy a path while using an anonymous account; access is tied to that account on our servers. A one-time App Store purchase does not restore automatically from the store receipt on a new device. Link Sign in with Apple or Google before changing devices so your path and access follow you.
Notifications
If you allow them, daily reminders are scheduled on your device at the time you chose. Reminder text never contains your problem, your words or your path name. You can turn them off in the app or in iOS Settings.
Your choices and rights
- Export: download your profile data from the Me tab.
- Delete notes or your account: from the Me tab. Deleting your account removes your server data, including your path, notes, check-ins and photo. Copies in routine backups expire on their normal schedule. Purchase records kept by Apple and RevenueCat follow their own policies.
- Other requests: for access, correction or deletion questions, email tanercelik2001@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object, restrict processing or complain to your data protection authority.
Security and retention
We keep your data while your account exists. Access is restricted per account, your written words are encrypted, and private audio and photos are delivered through short-lived links. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Age
Patika is intended for adults aged 18 and over.
Changes
If our practices change materially we will update this page and its effective date.
